Ingredients
Chicken Bites:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- ½ cup buttermilk (or plain yogurt)
- ¾ cup cornstarch
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Bang Bang Sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp honey (optional for added sweetness)
- 1 tsp rice vinegar or lime juice
Garnish:
- Chopped green onions
- Sesame seeds (white & black)
Instructions
1. Marinate Chicken
- Toss chicken with buttermilk. Let sit 10 minutes while prepping sauce.
2. Make Bang Bang Sauce
- In a bowl, whisk together mayo, chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and vinegar. Set aside.
3. Coat & Fry
- Mix cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Coat marinated chicken in dry mix.
- Deep-fry in hot oil (350°F) until golden and crispy, about 4–5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
4. Toss & Garnish
- While still warm, toss chicken in bang bang sauce or drizzle over top.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
